COT 5k Results

4th March saw 53 people complete a 5k at the end of their Operation Transformation campaign. It was a pretty miserable day with plenty of rain and very cold but that didn’t stop them making a fantastic effort.  Well done everyone.  Everyone is a winner but you can check out the results by clicking this link COT 5k Results 2017

Coolderry Gym Opens – Join Now

A great night was had on Saturday 4th of March when Michael Fennelly visited Coolderry and officially opened the new Community Gym.  He also gave a very interesting and stimulating talk on the importance of nutrition and sport.  Check out pictures from the opening here

Applications are now being accepted to join the Gym.  The application form and details can be downloaded here Coolderry GAA Gym App Form v2.

Membership for 12 months (from March 17 to March 18) is as follows

  • €110 membership + €10 fob fee.  (total of €120).  This fee includes normal Club membership fee.  For those who have already paid their membership the balance of fees must be paid.
  • €30 once only fitness programme evaluation fee.

Membership to the gym will be completed when

a) form and €120 fee has been submitted to Coolderry GAA Secretary.

b) complete fitness programme evaluation with Julie McGuire.  €30 fee to be paid directly to her.

c) fitness programme evalution report to be submitted to Coolderry GAA Secretary

Michael Fennelly to Offically open Coolderry Gym, 4th March 6.30pm

The new Coolderry Gym will be officially opened on Saturday 4th March by Michael Fennelly, the famous Kilkenny Hurler.  Michael is also a lecturer in Limerick Institute of Technology in the area of Strength & Conditiong and will also do a talk on the importance of nutrition for sport.  Certificates will also be presented to those who completed the Coolderry Operation Transformation programme this year.The proceedings will commence at 6.30pm with Michael doing a short talk and Q&A Session.  This will be followed by the presentation of the Certificates and then the opening of the Gym.  All are welcome.

4th March, 10am – Coolderry OT 5k

The final task for our Operation Transformation participants is to complete a 5k.  This is being held on Saturday 4th March at 10am.  All are welcome young and old to complete it with the OT participants.

Registration will be at Coolderry GAA Clubhouse from 9.30am with race starting at 10am.  Come along and take part or to support.

Coolderry Operation Transformation 5k

Saturday 4th March is the date – mark it in your diary.  This is the date that all our brilliant participants in our Operation Transformation (over 60 people every night for the past 5 weeks) campaign will complete their 5k.  We hope to have a special guest on the day also to mark the occasion.

Operation Transformation is Back

Coolderry Operation Transformation was such a success in 2016 we are running it again in 2017.  A mixture of jogging/running/circuits and an introduction to our new Community Gym will be included in the programme along with some weekend walks/runs.  Nearly 100 people participated last year – lets try and break the 100 barrier this year.

  • Thursday 5th January – REGISTRATION NIGHT – Club House – 7.30pm
  • Tuesday 10th January – Operation Transformation Starts – 7.30pm

Club Auction 27th November – Anyone Buying or Selling

The annual club auction will be held on Sunday 27th November.  A wide variety of merchandise and materials available on the day.  Lots of fire wood available for purchase to keep you warm over the cold winter months.

Club AGM

The Club AGM will be held on Friday 25th November at 8.00pm in the Clubhouse.  It is important the parents, players and supporters attend to review the progress made during the year and discuss the plans for next year.  Those interested in putting themselves forward for positions on the Committee should contact the Club Secretary, Mary Hanly at 087 2487867.

U16 County Final Panel
