Coolderry GAA Healthy Club



Coolderry is proud to be part of the GAAs Healthy Club Campaign. https://www.gaa.ie/my-gaa/community-and-health/healthy-club/ .

It is one of 92 clubs nationwide selected to participate in the GAA’s Healthy Club project which is now in Phase 3 and involves 150 clubs across the 32 counties. Almost 220 clubs applied to participate in Phase 3 highlighting the progressive nature of Coolderry GAA Club.

As part of this campaign Coolderry GAA is able to re-inforce all of the work it has been doing in the community for the past number of years and also plan new events, activities and campaigns. Coolderry’s Healthy Club programme includes

The Healthy Club Project is supported by Healthy Ireland, the HSE, the National Office for Suicide Prevention and Irish Life, the award-winning project aims to transform clubs into hubs for health in their communities. The GAA already makes a significant contribution to the health of the population through the promotion and provision of Gaelic Games. Participating Healthy Clubs seek to expand their positive influence beyond the playing field by implement policies, partnerships, and programmes designed to support the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of their communities.
